GFA Exco To Hold Zoom Meeting Tomorrow To Decide Fate Of Football Season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, June 15, 2020, to decide on the fate of the 2019/2020 football season, reports reaching Modernghana Sports has revealed.

The Ghanaian football season commenced in December 2019 but had to be suspended after just 3 months due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.

With the Ghana Premier League, the National Division One League, and the Women’s Premier League still on hold, the Ghana FA is expected to announce the fate of the season at the end of June.

According to Accra-based Angel FM, the Executive Council (Exco) of the GFA will hold a Zoom meeting tomorrow at 17:00GMT to have an extensive deliberation on what should happen to the season.

It is understood that several clubs are advocating for the cancelation of the football season and it is likely the Ghana FA may succumb and follow suit.

Meanwhile, engagement with the government is set to continue in hopes of being given the green light for clubs to return to training.
