Plot By Middle-Easterners To Defame Ghanaian Businessman Uncovered

Plans by Mohammed Mahamoud Ibrahim and his father Mohamed Ould Ibrahim to defame Ghanaian Businessman Hassan Zein and his partners has been uncovered.

Mohamed and Ibrahim of Middle East extraction based in Mali are currently wanted in Ghana for various crimes including rape, money laundering, and threatening the lives of several people, including Mr. Zain who had been a former acquaintance.

Whatsup News gathered that the relationship between Zain and the two fugitive’s went sour when one of them reportedly raped a 14-year old Ghanaian girl and Zain had sought justice for the victim.

“Our Clients insists that it is his singular act of courage and wisdom that saved your alleged informants from possible prisons sentence longer than Ten (10) years. However, due largely to the benevolence among things, that position to ensure justice for the 14 year-old young girl who was defiled by Mohammed Mahmoud Ould Ibrahim, (Omar),” read a statement issued by Zain’s lawyers to the Malian media house afrikinfosmail.com reportedly hired to defame Zain.

The statement noted that the crimes committed in Ghana by the fugitives have been gazetted and published on InterPol Red Alert. “We have several newspaper and government publications that we are willing to make available to you, should you be willing to objectively peruse same at your convenience,” the statement said.

The two fugitives have reportedly started an intensive campaign outside of Ghana tof defame Hassan Zain and his businesses. According to lawyers for Zain, the two who were recently cited for duping a Turkish Businessman by more than US$ 1 million, have started paying media houses in Mali to plant defamatory stories against Zain whom they had formerly dealt with.

“It has emerged that they  are allegedly behind a publication by  Le Toguna newspaper and afrikinfosmail.com defaming Mr Zein,” the lawyers wrote.

“Our Client provides by way of setting the records straight that at all material times, he has been a dutiful, respectful and kind-hearted person, whose benevolence extends far and wide. He states in no uncertain terms that the Mahamoud Mohammed Ibrahim and his father Mahmoud Mohammed Ould Ibrahim, also known as Omar, and Sixteen (16) other persons are declared wanted criminal persons in Ghana, by a Court of Competent jurisdiction for several criminal activities, including but not limited to defilement, money laundering, attempted murder and threat of death, amongst several other charges,” Zain explained.
