Two Fake National Security Officer Die After Terrorizing Quarry

Two persons who had paraded themselves as National Security personnel at Doryumu in the Greater Accra Region have died after they were run over by a truck while trying to escape angry residents who had stood up to them.

The identities of the deceased are not known except for allegations that they were footmen of sorts for Hopeson Adoryeh, the ruling New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Kpone Katamanso.

The two were said to have been a part of a group of about eleven men who had stormed a toll booth at Shai Osudoku which serves as a collection point for tolls from a quarry there.

According to what WhatsUp News has gathered, the tolls paid were shared in such a way that parts were paid to the traditional areas of Doryumu, Agormada and Kordiabe. The supposed National Security operatives had stormed the area with guns to take over the toll booth.

As part of their entrance, they fired gunshots in the air before proceeding to taser some of the locals . 

WhatsUp News has seen videos of some of the assaults on locals with Taser guns.

According to reports, the unprovoked attacks on the locals incensed the youth in the area who decided to confront the intruders. In the ensuing confrontation, some of the supposed National Security operatives took to their heels.

The youth chased after them and it was in the attempt to escape that two of them were run over by trucks. it is not clear where the bodies were taken to.

Meanwhile, the youth also reportedly managed to arrest two more of the intruders while about five managed to escape.

The Tema Divisional Police Command is said to have since taken over the case.
