Seized Galamsey Gold Disappear Into Thin Air Under Akufo Addo

The loud-mouthed New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong is alleging that a huge consignment of gold and gold ores seized from illegal miners has simply disappeared into thin air.
According to Mr. Agyapong in a confirmation of suspicions that the Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng-led Anti-Galamsey committee was a mere smokescreen set up by President Akufo Addo to hide the mafia-like takeover of illegal mining operations by the governing party.

In a revealing talk show on Net 2 Television recently, Mr Agyapong alleged that all the huge kilograms of pure gold and mined gold set up by the President of Ghana in 2017 to combat the operation of galamsey in Ghana cannot be traced.
The NPP MP called on President Akufo-Addo to find the missing gold before it blows into a scandal.
“President Akufo-Addo must call them to find the whereabouts of the missing gold. President Akufo-Addo, ask them where it is. Call them and ask them before we bring it out. I will play some recording for you. It is ugly! The gold they have collected. The Galamstop soldiers, they have taken gold. It is not only machines.” Kennedy Agyapong charged on Net 2 TV.
Mr. Agyapong also spilled the bean on the fact that several appointees of the Akufo Addo administration and party executives were engaged in illegal mining activities that have destroyed forest reserves, river bodies and the environment across the country.
The government recently came under a damning spotlight when it turned out that some 500 mining excavators seized from illegal gold miners have been channelled to party executives and appointees who owe questionable mining concessions.
