Pastor Behind Fake Shatta Wale Shooting Prophecy Arrested

The founder and leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International Bishop Stephen Akwasi, have reportedly been arrested at the premises of Accra FM on Tuesday while preparing for an interview on the station’s mid-morning show.

Bishop Stephen Akwasi was the man who had prophesied that Shatta Wale would be shot on 18th October.

Wale, was not shot on 18th October as prophesied and so the controversial dancehall artiste took matters into his own hands and staged his shooting in what netizens are calling a senseless misadventure.

It is not clear on what basis, Bishop Akwasi, Popularly known as Jesus ‘Ahuofe’, has been arrested by the Police as prophecies are strictly esoteric phenomena that the law is ill-equipped to handle.

The preacher was seen in a viral video claiming Wale would be shot on the same day that late South African reggae superstar, Lucky Dube had been shot in 2007.

Jesus Ahuofe reportedly gave the prophecy on September 28, 2021.

When the day came and Shatta Wale was still alive, he went out to stage a theater of the shooting in a prank that had backfired and led to his arrest.

In a write-up, Wale claims he did what he did because he was not happy that the Police had not arrested the preacher.

Interestingly, the laws of Ghana do not make provisions for arrest over religious quirks such a fake prophesies.

Barely five hours after this, had three men clad in plainclothes escorted Jesus Ahuofe off the Accra FM building for questioning.
