Suicidal Funny Face To Be Given Psychiatric Evaluation After Police Arrest

Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, the comedian who goes by the stage name “Funny Face”, has been arrested by the Police after he threatened to kill the mother of his children and commit suicide.

On Sunday, October 17, Funny Face, who appears to have been plunged into emotional turmoil after his ex-wife whom he broke up with after discovering she had been sleeping with another man, married that man, started leaving suicidal hints.

He vowed to kill Vanessa Nicole, his baby mama and commit suicide thereafter.

“Your mother, Vanessa. I’ve already told you that I’ll shoot you. I’ll just shoot you and kill myself after that,” he said in a video addressed to his kids.

The comedian had also lashed out at some personalities who he said had abandoned him when he was in a car crash.

Subsequently, the Police posted on Facebook that they were picking the ‘Cow and Chicken’ actor up.

The service said they will have him before a court and secure an order for psychiatric examination and use findings for further investigations.

 “The Police have today, Monday, 18th October 2021, at 10:14 pm arrested Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face for allegedly threatening certain individuals via some Social Media platforms. Due to the history of the suspect, the police shall submit Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to the court for an order for psychiatric examination, to determine the next line of investigative action,” the October 18 post read.

In February this year, Funny Face was arrested by the police in Kasoa for an unlawful discharge of firearms at a drinking pub.
