Law Professor Breaks Down Domelevo’s SSNIT Card Number To Prove Forced Retirement

An attempt by the Akufo-Addo government to use the Social Security number of Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo to fan its unpopular move to forcefully retire the anti-corruption czar has been rubbished by US-based Ghanaian Law Professor, Kwaku Asare.

Writing under his pseudonym, Kwaku Azar, Prof. Asare picked on the SSNIT card number of Mr. Domelevo which propagandists from the government had posted to back claims by the Audit Service Board that the AG was born in 1960 but had lied that he was born in 1961, and broke it down to its anatomical parts to show that Domelevo was born in 1961, per the same card number that his detractors had posted.

“All SSNIT numbers tell a story. The SSNIT number here is E106106010014,” Prof. Asare wrote.

He added, “Those who posted it want you to focus on 01-06-1960 for obvious reasons. But let us do a little bit of forensic auditing. To the ordinary eyes, this means nothing. But to the GOGO eye, this means: E = Eastern Region; 10 = District 10; 61 = 1961; 06 = June; 01 = 1. The cardholder was born on June 1, 1961.”

According to Prof. Azar, “In the haste to destroy, whoever altered the DOB failed to alter the SS#. Ordinarily, I will call for a full probe to identify those behind this plot. But this is Ghana. I won’t waste my time!!”

“I just ask that people of goodwill decline the invitation to jump on the train to destroy people for some miserable cedis. We are here today and gone tomorrow. Let us not allow power and the pursuit of wealth lead us to destroy people!”

Auditor General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo is currently being hounded by the Audit Service Board led by Prof. Edward Dua Agyemang.

For fighting corruption in the Akufo-Addo government, Domelevo was forced by the President to go on a 167 mandatory leave and now that he has returned, he is being told that he forged his date of birth from 1960 to 1961 and that per the 1960 date, he is deemed to have retired.

Domelevo has also been accused of forging his Ghanaian nationality. Apparently, it was in an attempt to back these allegations that some government people posted his SSNIT number in an attempt to buttress the claims.
