The traditional ruler of Ajumako Eduyaw in the Central Region, Nana Obuedum, has reportedly rated the Akufo-Addo government as the worst in the last 47 years of Ghana’s history.
During the commissioning of a durbar ground that he has built for his community Nana Obuedum had expressed to journalists his disappointment with the shortcomings of the Akufo Addo government.
“You don’t know what came over Ghanaians to vote for him [Akufo-Addo] in the 2020 general election,” he said, adding “Nana Akuffo Addo since he came has collapsed numerous business including my two schools.”
“As a Chief, I don’t depend and believe in Akufo-Addo promises because he doesn’t speak the truth. I develop my community with my own coffers without depending on any government so I am also advising all Ghanaians to also do things on their own without depending on any government,” he clearly disenchanted traditional ruler said.
According to him, in the past 47 years he had served as an educationist, he has never witnessed such underwhelming performance by any government as the Akufo-Addo government.
He points out that the government has failed to deliver on most of its promises, from the grandiloquent ones to some as little as providing dustbins.
For instance, he points out that the government promised to supply the community with dustbins through the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Assembly, but never did.
He advised the government to stop making promises that they cannot fulfill adding that Akufo-Addo has messed up the country.
