Policeman Arrested For Insulting Akufo-Addo, Bawumia On The Internet

An Officer of the Prampram district command of the Ghana Police Service has been cited for misconduct after allegedly insulting the leaders of the country in a careless Facebook commentary.

A Police wireless message from the Greater Accra Police Headquarters to his station directed that G/Cpl Fredrick Kwaku Dzameki, be reprimanded and dispatched to the Headquarters to face discipline on Friday.

He is believed to have commented on a post to the effect that the leaders of the country are “stupid” and “stubborn,” using innuendos that may have directly attributed such words to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.

“Re – Misconduct by No.45664 G/CPL Fredrick Kwaku Dzameki of Prampram Station. Warn and release subject to report at this regional Headquarters on Friday 28/05/2021 at 1000hrs without fail to be paraded before DEPOL/2I/C/TR…Treat urgent,” the wireless message directed.

Allegedly, the officer commented on a Facebook post by a certain NokstvAfrica titled, “The Smart Show (Tutu Gya)” to the effect that the leaders of the country are “stupid” and that, presumably, the 1st and 2nd gentlemen are the stupidest.

These are the words that are supposedly imputed to him, “our leaders are very stupid and stubborn. They don’t reason at all. Ghana is sick. Number 1 and number 2 too are sick.”
