Road Blocks To Plague Accra From Thursday

From Thursday, March 11, 2021, some roads in parts of the national capital will temporally be kept off-limit to motorists.

This is according to the Ministry of Roads and Highways which said the roadblocks will occur from 9 am to 3 pm to allow the power distribution company GRIDCO to undertake maintenance of transmission lines.

“This is to enable GRiDCo to undertake the stringing of transmission line conductors across the N1, N2, and N4,” a statement signed by Chief Executive Officer at the Ghana Highway Authority, A.B.K Nuhu said.

The affected roads include the Tema-Aflao road before the traffic light at the T.T Brothers junction, according to the statement. These will be blocked from 9 am-11am.

Also, the “Tema- Akosombo road (near the newly constructed overhead walkway) will also be blocked.

“Motorists are hereby advised to follow the traffic diversion signs to be placed at the various sections on the N1, N2, and N4,” the ministry stated.
