We Don’t Know Why Power Went Off Nationwide On Sunday – GRIDCO

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCO) has confirmed that Sunday afternoon’s power outage was nationwide and that the cause of the problem is not yet known.

In a press release, it said the problem led to the total shut down of their system causing the whole country to blackout.

“The Technical team is currently working to restore power supply to all Bulk Supply Points (BSPs) in the country,” part of the statement read.

It also said the technical team will work to pin out the exact problem and its cause and update all stakeholders.

On Sunday lights suddenly went off and remained off for the better part of the day.

“Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” the statement added.
