Agyarko’s Wife Dies From COVID-19

Josephine Baiden Agyarko, The first wife of the late former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko has reportedly died from Covid-19 complication.

She is the latest high-profile individual that has been mowed down by the rampaging COVID-19 disease, as desperation sets in Ghana following the discovery of a new aggressive strain of the disease imported from the United Kingdom.

She was reportedly receiving treatment at an unnamed hospital and appeared to be recovering but relapsed and died on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

According to Ghanaian online news portal,  MyNewsGh.com, family members of the deceased confirmed the death to it and requested privacy to mourn.

Mrs. Agyarko had lost her husband through illness late 2018 and had been forced to mourn him amidst controversies about her relationship with her late husband. 

Apparently, her husband had a second wife Lydia Alhassan, who immediately jumped on the opportunity to contest the Ayawaso West-Wuogon seat when Emmanuel Agyarko passed. 

Mrs. Agyarko is survived by her two children.
