Latest information picked up by Whatsup News indicates that the scandal-prone Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo, has stepped aside and would not be part of President Akufo Addo’s administration in its second term.
There is currently no official communique yet, however, Asaase Radio, a radio station belonging to Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, President Akufo Addo’s Chief Advisor, has confirmed the information.
Osafo-Marfo who has been fingered in various scandals, including the questionable US$ 1 million payment to British company Kroll and Associates for no work done, is said to have communicated his decision to bow out of his position President Akufo-Addo after the 9 December results declaration.
Osafo Maafo, who was a former Finance Minister in the previous NPP administration led by John Agyekum Kufour would be the second person to be given the enviable position as a Senior Minister.
The first such position was given to J.H Mensah in 2001 when the position was first introduced by John Agyekum Kufour.
