Kwame Despite’s Best Point Savings & Loans CEO Dies Of COVID-19

Philip Odei Asare, the Managing Director of  Best Point Savings and Loans, has reportedly died from Covid-19 complications, Whatsup News has gathered.

The MD was heading the financial institution owned by media mogul Osei Kwame Despite of Peace FM fame.

The deceased reportedly gave up the ghost while receiving treatment at one of the designated hospitals for the treatment of Covid-19, as he became the latest high-profile COVID-19 casualty in Ghana.

Just this week, the National Security Coordinator, Joshua Kyeremeh also died from alleged COVID-19 complications, as Ghana records a new surge in COVID-19 infections.

Meanwhile, the late Phillip Odei Asare reportedly had no underlying conditions and was healthy when the virus struck him dead. There are reports that he l strict in the enforcement of Covid-19 protocols among his staff in the office and at home with his family. He was hardly seen without a mask.

Before his appointment at Best Point, he was the Group Head for Risk Management, Access Bank-Ghana and was instrumental in the groundbreaking merger of Access Bank and Inter-Continental Bank Group over a decade ago.
