SAD!! Ghana’s ICONIC RAWLINGS PASSES ON!

A piece of incredibly heart-wrenching news has just been picked up by Whatsup News that former President Jerry John Rawlings who doubles as the founder of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has died.

According to multiple media sources, the iconic strongman dies at the early hours of today, November 12, 2020.

Whatsup News gathered that he had been on admission at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for some days now until his unfortunate demise.

Accra-based Citi News claims the death of Ghana’s most revered political figure was communicated to it by sources close to his family.

Jerry John Rawlings had buried his 101-year-old mother Madam Victoria Agbotui in barely three weeks ago.

Jerry John Rawlings was born June 22, 1947, and had been the longest figure in Ghana’s political history, having been Military Head of State twice and a civilian President for two terms.

He ruled Ghana from 1981 to 2001. 

He is highly respected for his no-nonsense “BOOMS” and his uncompromising attitude towards corrupt leaders. 

He is also revered across all the political divide, including the New Patriotic Party (NPP), arch-rivals of his party, the NDC.
