Agona West NDC Parliamentary Hopeful Bailed Over Gender Minister’s Assassination Plot

A Parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Agona West, Paul Ofori Amoah, has been granted bail after he was arrested and arraigned over alleged accomplice to an assassination plot against the Minister for Gender, Cynthia Morrison.

Ms. Morrison is the ruling NPP’s sitting MP for Agona West.

The Cape-Coast Circuit Court which granted the bail heard a not guilty plea from Mr. Amoah.

There have been speculative reports in the media that he admitted issuing two checks to some people alleged to be assassins who had been arrested by the Police in a hotel room.

Ultimately, he was charged with aiding and abetting the activities of political party vigilante group after a preliminary charge of preparation to commit crime, to wit murder, and abetment to commit crime, to wit, murder, were changed.

Cynthia Morrison, appears to have recently developed a paranoia that somebody is after her life.

Pro NPP media houses which have been reporting the supposed assassination attempt last week also claimed that some illegal miners whom the Gender had reported as possible assassins after her life also had NDC membership cards.
