The 2020 Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has started his tour of the Western Region today.
A statement released by his campaign team said the former President will interact with chiefs, farmers, artisans, and the general public during his visit.
He will also highlight some policies in the People’s Manifesto which will improve agriculture and the quality of life for farmers, especially cocoa farmers, among others.
According to the statement John Mahama will also expound on the NDC’s manifesto promise to roll out a free universal healthcare programme under which the general public can access healthcare for free all the way up to district hospitals.
The former President will also promote the NDC’s ‘Big Push’ plan to invest two billion Ghana Cedis every year in infrastructure for the next five years to stimulate the economy, revive the construction sector and create a million jobs.
Prior to entering the Western North Region, he wrapped up his tour of the Ahafo Region on Saturday, after completing a tour of the Bono Region.
