NPP Plots NDC Coup

Whatsup News has intercepted speaking points allegedly outlined by the ruling New patriotic Party  (NPP) to its communicators as the next communications arsenal to tackle their main political arch-rivals: the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the synopsis, ex-President John Dramni Mahama and his “cohorts” are planning frantically to roll out plans  “to purge the party of people known to be strong loyalists of two preceding leaders/presidents from the NDC stock: Founder President Rawlings and late President Mills.”

The NPP, per the leaked speaking notes, plans to “strongly” come to the defence of these loyalists and expose the NDC.

The NDC will also be on the spotlight for badly treating people from the Fante tribe, as this will be one of the speaking points of NPP communicators in the coming weeks, per the leaked notes.

“..we must let Ghanaians know the bad treatment of Fantis by John Mahama and his cohorts. Apart from Allotey Jacobs, Mrs Ama Benyiwa Doe is very ill and has been left to die, Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur suffered humiliation even during his term, not to talk of the late President Mills. Now John Mahama ignores the late President Mills and continue to take credit for 8yrs of NDC rule (Mills and Mahama) and compare that under four years of President Kufuor,” the notes read.

Whatsup News cannot verify these notes as it does not contain any signature.

Meanwhile, the NPP is likely to back the suspended Allotey Jacobs, the former Western Regional Chairman of the NDC.

“Communicators, we don’t speak for the NDC or anyone they suspend or sack from their party, but on the suspension of Allotey Jacob, we should just remind John Mahama and his party what they said about the NPP when we suspended some persons between 2015 and 2016,” stated the content of the speaking notes.

There are several battlegrounds that the NPP hopes to tackle the NDC on per the speaking notes, including the argument that the NDC did not end the power crisis.

“… to show that dumsor was still existing even at the time this government came to power in 2017, I refer you, a cherished reader to a Ghanaweb story gleaned from Peace Fm on 2nd March 2017 that quotes Mr. Ofosu Ampofo, then-Director of Elections of the NDC and now their National Chairman. The story was captioned “Mahama would have ended dumsor if NDC was retained – Ofosu Ampofo,” the leaked statement outlines.
