MR.SOWAH CAMPAIGNS AGAINST COVID-19

The Managing Director of GCB Mr. Anselm Ransford Sowah Mrs. has urged the general the public to practice good hygiene by washing hands and follow the COVID-19 precautionary measures, as best way to prevent  the spread of Corona virus in Ghana.

Speaking in an online-video campaign against covid-19, the renowned bank said; 

Fellow Ghanaians, as you are aware, we are not in normal times. And I pray, the good lord continue to protect and keep us safe and sustain our ambition in this Covid-19 pandemic period.

I would entreat all to observe all the safety guidance at this pandemic period at home and in the work place.  Regular hand washing has been identified as one of the most effective ways to control the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

As a bank which cares for your safety, we would like to encourage you to follow the correct hand washing protocols whenever you wash your hands. Scrap your hands at least 20 seconds, you the need timer. Recite the national anthem from the beginning to the end.

Use alcohol based sanitizer, when your hands are not visible dirty .Do not touch your eyes, mouth or nose without washing your hands.

To further ensure your safety, and that of others, do practice social distancing by staying at least two meters apart from the next person, together we can control the spread of the virus with the uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of this pandemic. Let us do all what we can and    stay save and protect it. Thank you all.

Mr. Anselsem Sowah, praised the outstanding programs of the government for the relief of the citizenry at this challenging times, by saying ‘’ leadership is not an easy task, particularly during crises ‘’.

Prior to his appointment as the head of GCB. Mr. Sowah was a Banker in the City of London for 30 years and worked extensively in the erstwhile Ghana Commercial Bank London Branch, Ghana International Bank London and Bank of Montreal Capital Markets, London.

He is a commercially astute Business Banker and Lawyer with a consistent record of success in optimizing the market, revenue, and profit and service performance of organizations operating in challenging environments.
