Only witches are complaining About NPP – Ursula

Minister of Communications, Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has raised uncomfortable eyebrows by describing persons complaining about hardship under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration as witches.

She made this statement a few days ago during an NPP youth at a summit arranged by the Ablekuma West where she represents as their Member of Parliament.

“If someone complains that since the NPP came he/she has not benefitted anything ask the person if he or she did not hear it raining when he got out and saw it is wet didn’t he see? Is this not witchcraft? When someone is complaining shut the person down”, she stated in a voice recording secured by Whatsup News.

She went on to order the youth to counter what she calls propaganda of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) with achievements of her government. “It is your duty to tell them I know in your house there is someone who is not paying school fees because Nana Akufo-Addo has taken up that responsibility. Let her know you were a hairdresser and ‘dumsor’ was affecting you and what is it you are saying today? Akufo-Addo has come to solve ‘dumsor and you are getting a lot of work to do. You too your ward was attending nursing training and you suffered to cater for his or her upkeep today he/she is benefitting from nursing training allowance”, she told the party youth.

Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful has herself been described as a witch by angry telecom consumers for strongly spearheading the infamous hike in Communications Service Tax (CST).

The tax was increased from 6% to 9%, forcing telecom service providers to pass the entire cost onto hapless consumers. Over 20 million telecom consumers in Ghana are currently at their wit’s end for the high cost of accessing telecom services.
