Clifford Aboagye Joins Mexican Giants Santos Laguna

Mexican giants, Santos Laguna, have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Clifford Aboagye ahead of the 2020 LIGA MX Opening Tournament.

Clifford, 25, secured a move to the Liga MX champions following an explosive loan spell at Querétaro FC.

The former Ghana U20 captain has taken Mexican football by storm since he joined Atlas on loan from Spanish side Granada in 2017.

The promising midfielder after being awarded the Bronze Ball at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2013, moved from Inter Allies FC to Italian side Udinese Calcio.

Clifford is characterized by his speed in midfield and his projection in the attack. The former Inter Allies star becomes the first African player to reach the first team of Club Tijuana.

After completing his move, Aboagye penned a thank you message to his former side, Querétaro FC.
