Blakk Rasta Calls Gabby “Demented” For Defending Akufo-Addo’s Expensive Luxury Travel

Popular broadcaster, Blakk Rasta, has described President Akufo Addo’s close cousin and advisor Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko as “demented” for the cantankerous defense of Akufo-Addo’s junket around the world in expensive private jets at the expense of the State.

Blakk Rasta fired: “Such a demented thought. These are the guys his eminent sleepiness, Mr. sky-bathing sleepident has as his advisors. What’s the cost of luxury-travel compared to these unfamed vaccines?”

This was in response to Gabby’s earlier tweet claiming that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines donated to Ghana by Germany is the fruit from Akufo-Addo’s charter of a £14,000 per hour jet to travel to meet Angela Merkel.

According to the controversial tweet, the opposition which raised issues about the cost of the luxurious foreign trip which cost some Ghc¢3.46 million for just two trips to the UK and Germany, is silent over the fruits of the trip after the vaccines came in.

“Ghana’s president traveled to Germany for a week and returned with 1.5 million vaccines, among other investor-related items. But, of course, the focus of those who seasonally choose to know the cost of everything but the value of little, is on the cost of the flight chartered!” Gabby Otchere-Darko tweeted.

Interestingly, the 1.5million vaccines donated to Ghana is part of 70million doses of AstraZeneca and Johns&Johnson COVID-19 jabs that Germany is donating to African countries anyway, without the need for President Akufo Addo’s travel to Germany.

German Chancellor had announced the donations at a G20 Summit on the African Compact with the 70million being an increase from 30million that Germany had earlier promise.

At the summit, African countries including South Africa, and Namibia were in attendance and none of their representative leaders flew on a £14,000 per hour jet to the conference.

“So those countries that did not travel luxury-class got no free vaccines? Begging lilliput,” Blakk Rasta asked sarcastically in an additional tweet.

The revelation about the President’s expensive junket to Europe to beg for vaccines was made by MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

In a Facebook post, he lamented the wastefulness of the President’s expensive taste, calling for a national dialogue on how the President should travel.

“For his recent travels to the UK on the 27th of July, 2021, to attend the Global Education Summit and last week’s state visit to Germany, he blatantly refused to travel on the presidential jet. Instead, he opted for another top-of-the-range VIP luxury charter jet specifically known to industry players as the Boeing 737-900ER BBJ3,” he alleged.

“Very few luxury jets boast of its features. Its manufacturers say the cabin is divided into multiple sections to guarantee exceptional comfort. It provides a VIP lounge for relaxation, Five-Star dining facilities, Royal Master bedroom, Cinema Room, specially delineated for watching movies, which is a separate accessory from other in-flight entertainment systems, and of course, just as you predicted correctly, complete with a luxury shower (apparently, the sky bath continues unabated – all royalties paid to Defence Minister, Nitiwul),” Ablakwa said.
