NDC Kicks Out The “Bull” From The China Shop

The inevitable has happened as the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) officially kicks out its turn-coat former Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho aka “The Bull”.

The letter written by the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia emphasized that the sacking was with “immediate effect”, saying he had misconducted himself and had breached the party’s code of conduct.

“At its meeting on the 20th January 2021, FEC (Functional Executive Committee) considered two separate petitions from two registered members of the National Democratic Congress, each of which lodged an official complaint against your conduct which is viewed to be in breach of the Party’s disciplinary code for its members,” Mr. Asiedu Nketia wrote in a February 8, 2021 letter addressed to Koku Anyidoho.

A few weeks ago, one of the petitioners, Eric Adjei had officially filed his complaint demanding the expulsion of “The Bull” for apparent flirtation with the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)

In the petition filed on January 20, 2021, Mr. Adjei wants Anyidoho expelled on “grounds of misconduct contrary to the express provisions of the Constitution of the NDC.

The petitioner outlined many examples from Twitter posts made by Koku Anyidoho that clearly exhibits his preference for the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP)’s political narratives.

Some of the cited Twitter messages include one on January 16, 2021, where Mr. Anyidoho stated unequivocally that he will not speak for the NDC because he claims the current General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia had once “decreed! That he had no locus on speaking to particular issues in the party.

Critics think such excuses from Anyidoho are attempts for him to extricate himself from the party, particularly when it has become clear that he is parleying with known communication strategists of the NPP, including Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako and others from the notorious “Coffee Shop”.
