An Israeli Professor, Nadri Aber, has reportedly invented a COVID-19 inhalation treatment that cures infections between 3 and 5 days.
“It is an innovative device based on exosomes enriched in CD24 that can be inhaled directly into the lungs “, the inventor is quoted as saying.
After just one blast of his solution held in a can similar to the one which houses asthma nebulizers, the patients recover rapidly, it has been reported.
Still, under trial at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Centre, the solution is said to have an efficacy of 96 percent, with 29 out of 30 patients who had it administered to them, reportedly recovering and leaving the hospital after 3 to 5 days.
Prof. Nadir himself is said to have described the solution as an “unprecedented invention” after seeing the results.
If it eventually is approved, it means the world will have another defense against the virus in addition to vaccines that have been developed.
Meanwhile, in the Gregorio Maranon hospital in Madrid, tests are being conducted with a treatment for serious cases that involves an intravenous injection of enriched immunoglobulin.
Early results have been promising with the first two patients to receive the treatment having been released from the hospital.
