Koku Anyidoho Drags Dzifa Gunu To Court For Ghc10m Over Juju

In what will be a bizarre lawsuit, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the estranged member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sued in a case of an alleged Voodoo spell.

He is asking the High Court in Tema to make Dzifa Gunu, a member of the party, pay him Ghc10million in damages because Mr. Gunu allegedly claimed in a Facebook post that Anyidoho had tried several times to bewitch former President Mahama with juju.

According to the estranged NDC man, Dzifa Gunu also alleged that Koku Anyidoho killed his own 8-year-old daughter.

In his Statement of Claim, the former NDC Deputy General Secretary claims Dzifa Gunu is an aide to former President Mahama, a thing that has drawn anger within the NDC as it is seen as a ploy to drag the former President, whose only known aide is Lawyer Joyce Bawa Mogtari, into the dirty juju brouhaha.

According to him, Dzifa Gunu’s claims that he has taken John Mahama to several voodoo shrines, some locally and others internationally, has brought his reputation down to the dunghill.

He tells the court he is seeking damages in the sum of Ghc10million, along with aggravated damages, exemplary damages and compensatory damages.

He is also seeking a perpetual injunction against Dzifa Gunu from writing about his alleged juju escapades said to entail travelogues to places as far as Togo and Benin within the West African sub-region.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho who describes himself in the statement of claim as “Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute” is also demanding a retraction and apology.
