Loudmouthed Assin Central Member of Parliament and repeat-Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency, Ken Agyapong, is sweet-talking his colleague sitting MP, who lost a re-election bid for the NPP’s Parliamentary ticket for Fomena, in a bid to get him to abandon an idea to go independent.
According to Mr. Agyapong, he will personally hold Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah’s hands and lead him to Akufo-Addo for a job if Akufo-Addo is re-elected in December.
“I will lead you to get another position in Nana Addo’s government,” Mr. Agyapong vowed.
He made the promise at Kyekyewere where the NPP had launched its campaign on Friday. Philip Ofori Asante, aka POFA, is the new Parliamentary Candidate after he beat the sitting MP in the party’s Parliamentary primary for Fomena.
According to Mr. Agyapong, he commiserated with the rejected sitting MP and that he knows the party has not been fair to some of its MPs, but that Hon. Ofori Asante should reconsider his decision to go independent.
“But if you refuse to rejoin the party and unfortunate for you, you lose your independent election, then you will definitely end your political career,” Ken Agyapong said.
He however called on voters to vote massively for the party’s new Parliamentary Candidate for Fomena.
