Jubilee House Galamsey Don And Agyapa Kingpin In Bloody Fight

A violent turf war has erupted around the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Secretary for Western Region, Charles Cromwell Bissue Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuem Constituency in the Western Region, George Mireku Duker. The confrontation reportedly escalated into blows and biting between the two.

Reports seen by Whatsup News indicates that there was a misunderstanding between the MP and the Regional party executive during a meeting in the Region. The misunderstanding reportedly escalated into a heated argument and a fight that reportedly saw Charles Bissiw bite a chunk off the hands of Mireku Duker, who screamed amidst slaps aimed at his attacker.

According to sources indicated that George Mireku Duker and Charles have not been in good terms because the latter is supporting an independent candidate against the incumbent.

According to online news portal, MyNewsGh.com which reported the incident, its reporters contacted Mireku Duker who confirmed the incident and said he had visited the hospital for treatment but declined to give further details.

“I have gone to the hospital and received treatment and I am getting well,” Mireku Duker was quoted as saying.

Incidentally, these are two top appointees of the Akufo Addo administration who are at the centre of two major scandals in the administration.

Charles Bissiw was caught on tape almost two years ago, receiving a huge payout for reportedly facilitating illegal gold mining activities, even though he was the Secretary to the inter-ministerial committee set up by President Akufo Addo to clamp down on illegal mining activities locally known as “Galamsey”.

On the other hand, Mireku Duker is the Chairman of the Board of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) which has controversially hatched a scheme that will funnel Ghana’s mining royalties to Agyapa Royalties, a company registered in a notorious tax haven, and a company whose private shareholders have remained a mystery till date.
