It appear that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) which is preaching against politics on insults have taken the liberty, the Deputy Executive Director of the National Services Secretariat, Gifty Oware-Aboagye took to Facebook to call former President John Dramani Mahama an idiot.
“I am sorry but it’s time we tell this guy he is acting like an ‘idiot’. We as a country are hypocrites. Are people seeing this?” Ms. Oware-Aboagye jabbed.
President Akufo Addo’s cousin and right-hand-man, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko had posted an out-of-context video of ex-President Mahama referencing President Akufo Addo’s advanced age in comparison to his, saying in the natural order of things, he [Mahama] as a far younger contender, is likely to live longer than the near-Octogenarian President Akufo Addo.
“Looking at Akufo-Addo’s age, his life on earth is shorter thank you all young people here….young people can die I agreed but if the natural order is to be maintained, somebody who is 20years old here is going to live maybe the next 50years. I at my age, I’m going to live shorter, Nana Akufo-Addo is going to live shorter….I’m making a point because that debt, he is not going to pay” – former President Mahama said
The video has drawn intense bouts of expletives at Mr. Mahama, as the politics of insults from both the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the governing NPP heats up.
This comes in the wake of the controversial tagging of President Akufo Addo and his kitchen cabinet as “Akyem Sakawa” for their role in the scandalous Agyapa Royalties deal to supposedly “monetise” Ghana’s multi-million-dollar mineral royalties.
