Disturbing reports on the Accra-Kumasi Highway indicates that three persons have died while 20 others have been fatally injured in a ghastly accident on Saturday.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident involved an articulated Truck and Passenger Bus which collided on the Teacher-Mante stretch of the Highway.
The articulated Truck with registration number AE 1913 -12 from the Kumasi direction crashed the side of the Bus with registration number GT 5425-20 coming from Accra, causing the bus to somersault several times.
It eventually came to rest in a ditch on the roadside where the deceased were pulled out and the injured attended to.
The injured persons have since been rushed to the Suhum and Nsawam Government Hospitals while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue, Whatsup News gathered.
This year has so far recorded about 400 deaths and more than a thousand serious injuries from road accidents.
The latest accident comes five days after the country recorded a gory accident on the Kintampo road that killed about 35 passengers.
