Coronavirus Humbles Ghana Before God

Ghana is in sackcloth and ashes as it seeks divine intervention over the deadly coronavirus pandemic which is now running riot in the country.

A national day of fasting and prayer, led by President Akufo-Addo has been ensuing today after Jubilee House gave the direction on Monday.

All over the country, Muslims and Christians stayed away from food and water with the sights and sounds in the media landscape dominated by prayer and supplication.

The fears from the virus have apparently also cooled the political tension that has typically characterized Ghana on a daily basis, as both NPP and NDC members supplicate in one accord.

Believers have been asking God for forgiveness and mercy as infection rises sharply on a daily basis.

At the latest count, 68 people had been infected, with the third Covid-19 fatality happening at the 37 Military Hospital this afternoon.

Most of the infected are persons who were mandatorily quarantined at the directive of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
