Car-owner of Madina Police Killer Turns Himself In

Sources within the Madina Police have told Whatsup News that the owner of the hit-and-run commercial bus which was used to crush a Police officer on motor traffic duty at Madina in Accra has turned himself into the Police.

According to the sources, the man whose name is not readily known has since been assisting with investigations into the gruesome murder which happened last week Friday on the street that lies between the University of Professional Studies and the Trinity Theological Seminary.

The car owner’s decision to live up to his civil responsibility is expected to aid the Police with information that can be used to trace and arrest the driver of the vehicle who has been on the run after committing the felony on Friday.

Already, the bus conductor (aka drivers’ mate) has been arrested and is also assisting with investigations.

Sergeant Moses Appiah was dragged on the ground to his death when the driver of the vehicle sped backwards and tried to rummage away while the officer’s hand was on the handle of the car door.

The officer was hooked to the car as it attempted to drive off, leading to his instant death. The driver has since been on the run.

He was said to have packed wrongly on the road and solicited for passengers at a place that was not a loading area. This prompted the officer to cross his vehicle and demanded that he alight. As the driver was not heeding the instruction, the officer attempted to open the car himself.

It was in response that the driver drove off while the officer was trapped on the car.
