Demons Have Hijacked Ghanaian Presidents-Duncan Williams

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Founder and Leader of the Action Chapel International Church has once more given a spiritual interpretation to the socio-economic woes of Ghana, saying demons and spirits are responsible for preventing Ghanaian presidents from fulfilling their promises to the people.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana, Duncan-Williams said there are specific demons such as one called “Mistress of Witchcraft” who sell destinies of nations through sex. “It will seduce very powerful people and through the sexual activities, there will be a trade and a transaction that takes place to sell destinies of nations,” he explained in his stunning interpretation of the perennial governance problems dogging Ghana.

According to the Action Chapel overlord, demons can rule through men, that is why prayers are needed for kings and for those in authority because “our prayers will shield them from demonic influences and from powers that will compel them to take decisions and do things that will not profit the nation and profit the people”

Quoting the biblical book of Ezekiel Chapter 28, he explained that a very powerful demon has mastered the art of infiltrating the minds of world leaders-particularly Ghanaian leaders and force them to act in ways inimical to the interest of the masses. “That unseen ruler manifests his thoughts; what he thinks, what he wants done in everything through the natural ruler…” he said and noted that “Demons are very intelligent, they are a very intelligent beings.”

“I have spoken to presidents who have been in office and they left office and most times you realise that there were so many things that they could have done but for whatever reasons, frustrations, the tradition, our culture did not allow them to accomplish it until they came out of office,” he said.

Duncan-Williams is noted for his surprising spiritual prescriptions for everyday situations in the country. In February 2014, during the erstwhile administration of the John Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC), he decided the rampaging power of foreign currencies over the Ghanaian local currency (the Cedi) was due to spiritual attacks. He promptly organised a massive prayer session for the cedis.

In his famous prayer he declared  “…I hold up the cedi with prayer and I command the cedi to recover and I declare the cedi will not fall; it will not fall any further. I command the cedi to climb. I command the resurrection of the cedi. I command and release a miracle for the economy”.

However, that month alone, the cedi depreciated 3 per cent more and has been on a consistent depreciation curve since.

He has been widely mocked for the cedi prayer, but Duncan-Williams is unperturbed as he issues his latest prescription on how demons operate through Ghanaian leaders to rob the masses of their privileges.
