Bole Police Shoot Robbery Suspect In The Ankle

The Police in Bole have wounded a robbery suspect into hospitalization after bullets were sprayed on his ankle.

Seidu Salifu, 25, found himself on the wrong side of the barrel when he, together with two others, attempted to rob a Mercedes Benz track transporting drinks at Atinga near Banda Nkwanta in the Bole district of the Savannah region.

He has since been handcuffed to his hospital bed as he receives treatment for bullet wounds to his ankle.

DCOP Enoch Adu, Savannah Region Police Commander has since said that the suspect has been provisionally charged with attempted robber, to wit, robbery, and the unlawful possession of fire arms.

His two accomplices have since been on the run from the law. Seidu and cohorts are said to have attempted to rob the track with car number GX522517, which was on an assignment to distribute drinks thinking the vehicle had hapless occupants. Unbeknownst to them however, there was a Police escort at post.

The Police officer aimed at Seidu’s ankle and fired, sending him plummeting to the ground while his accomplices fled the scene. A gun in his possession was then quickly confiscated and stored as evidence.

The Police has since also launched a hunt for the two accomplices who are not yet known.
