Hopeson Adorye Fingered In State-sponsored Armed Robbery to Shush up President’s Alleged Girlfriend

A scandalous storm from what appears to be an extra-marital romance gone wrong for Ghana’s President has begun blowing on social media and the details are disturbing, as a Canada-based Ghanaian woman pops up with gory details.

The woman simply identified as “Evelyn” says she is battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) over the incident because Hopeson Adorye, a former deputy National Security Coordinator and the failed 2020 Parliamentary candidate for Kpone-Katamanso, had set up assailants masking as armed robbers on her, to shut her down.

Adorye, reportedly stalked President Akufo Addo’s alleged girlfriend and caused his thugs to ransack her hotel room as part of the suspected state-sponsored hits on her after she had suffered armed robbery as well.

In a series of wild claims, Evelyn said she was robbed in what appears to be a state-sponsored hit after suspicions that she will reveal the secret love advances from President Akufo-Addo in secret places, including hotel rooms and Private jets used by the President.

Netizens have been holding their jaws in their hands since Madam Evelyn’s video dropped on October 25th.

According to her, she crossed paths with President Akufo-Addo in 2019 and the President started his advances, among other things, overreaching with incessant phone calls and pestering her with requests for secret rendezvous in hotels.

But Evelyn, saying she is an independent spirited woman, parried the advances from the President who would often call and check on her and keep her posted of his travels around the globe.

Sometimes, Evelyn says, she had to travel to Ghana from Canada to celebrate her birthday and the Ghanaian President, in spite of his very busy schedule, remembered and called to wish her a happy birthday.

The President, she said, would go on to inform Evelyn that he was aware she had traveled down to Ghana and that he was outside the country but would want her to wait for him to return so they meet up.

According to the woman, she told the President she could not wait because she had a very busy schedule back in Canada and would want to travel back. However, the President somehow convinced her to stay.

When he returned to Ghana, Akufo-Addo arranged for himself, her and some other powerful members of his government, including Chief of Staff, Frema Opare, to travel on a private jet to Kumasi for a funeral.

After the funeral in Kumasi, the President asked her to accompany him to the Manhyia Palace to meet Otumfuor Osei Tutu ll for a meeting but Evelyn said she had no time and so requested to be flown back to Accra where she had to do other things.

Reluctantly, the President agreed and a private jet was arranged to carry them back. While on the plane, she said she decided to create mementos for her first time on a private jet and so she took selfies of herself.

Accidentally, where she was sitting, there was a mirror that reflected President Akufo-Addo into the pictures she took.

According to her, later she posted the pictures on social media and that was the beginning of her troubles. An angry President Akufo-Addo called her on phone and asked her to remove the photos because he is reflected in them.

She said she did that, but apparently, the President was afraid that she probably had kept some of the pictures to herself. And so when she got back to Canada, Mr. Akufo-Addo began calling and threatening her.

Evelyn said one time, she responded by hanging up on the President and stopped picking his calls. However, one day while at a family thanksgiving, the President called and a younger sibling picked the call. She had no choice but to listen to the President who complained that she had stopped picking his calls.

The President would later arrange a rendezvous at a hotel room where he chatted with her in a morning towel. As Evelyn had lost a piece of land that she had bought in Ghana the President was upset that she did not inform him about it so he would get the land back for her – apparently the whole of Jubilee House would have become land guards for beautiful Evelyn.

But Evelyn said she told the President she did not have time to chase after the land and so he left the matter be.

The President then informed her that following the publication of the pictures on social media, his National Security had advised him to stay away from her because she is a dangerous person, but he could not do that.

Weeks later after that meeting, she said the President called her and told her that he wanted to help her with her education. She said she was perplexed because she did not need any money for her education as she had paid her fees. She, however, did not want to drag matters with the President and so informed him she would be traveling down to Ghana and that she would meet up and discuss the unsolicited help when she arrived.

When she eventually traveled down, the President sent her a cool Ghc20, 000. She said she called and thanked him. However, she would later be attacked by armed robbers who would smash her leg with their car and take away everything from her.

Most poignantly, Hopeson Adorye had stolen into her hotel room at Golden jubilee hotel in Accra and ransacked the room, tampering with her laptop and other valuables, Evelyn said in the series of wild revelations that are yet to be verified.

Before traveling to Ghana, Madam Evelyn whose children and family members are in Canada said the President kept piling pressure on her to travel down, at a point even asking to know whether she would transit some places.

Apparently, Mr. Akufo-Addo was apprehensive about the woman possibly keeping pictures of himself and her and was trying to get those pictures deleted. The Ghc20,000 was a bait that he had sent to her through Hopeson Adorye so that Adorye would know where she stayed.
