A 27-year-old woman is in the grips of the Eastern Regional Police Command after she allegedly beheaded her husband with a machete.
Rachel Tetteh is suspected to have overpowered her 35-year-old husband, Daniel Lartey, in a bush at a so-called My God Village, a farming community near Akyem Bosuso in Fanteakwa South District in Eastern Region and decapitated him on Sunday, 3rd October 2021.
It is not exactly clear exactly what led to the murderous rampage.
However, it has been reported that she had had an altercation with the deceased before he left for the farm that morning and that she had pursued and caught up with him on the footpath to the farm and killed him using the machete she was wielding.
The Police have since conveyed the headless body to a morgue for autopsy.

After taking inventories of the crime scene, the Police conveyed the body to the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital Morgue and proceeded to arrest the suspect.
Also, the machete used for the decapitation has been retrieved, and the suspect kept in Police custody to assist with investigations.
