An employee of Assin North MP, Ken Agyapong, who is a person of interest in the murders of investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale and late MP for Abuakua North, J.B. Danquah Adu, claims a report on the mysterious assassinations are ready.
According to Kwaku Annan, host of Net2 TV’s ‘The Seat Show, the IGP is even under pressure from some quarters not to release the report because of the damage it would do them.
However, Mr. Annan tells the chief constable to resist the temptation to sit on the report and release it.
“We are strongly pleading with the Acting Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, this will be the third time we are calling on your office to help the world know the perpetrators behind the death of J. B. Danquah and Ahmed Suale,” Anan stated.
“We are calling on you because we know that these two were murdered when you were Greater Accra Police chief and so you are abreast with all the investigations and details therein,” he said while speaking on the September 27 edition of the show.
He even begged the IGP to release the report in the interest of justice.
“We want you to be the IGP who defied all powers that be, all the calls – from persons bent on concealing the truth – and machinations to block the release of this very report … I will urge you to allow the report to come out for all to see and hear,” he pleaded.
Net2 TV belongs to Kennedy Agyapong and has been a key propaganda mouthpiece for the governing party.
Agyapong is prominent as the main suspect in the Ahmed Suale murder because he was the one who had used his Net 2 TV and Oman FM radio station to incite murder against Ahmed Suale.
Suale’s had helped with an investigation into corruption at the Ghana Football Association that traced all the way to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.
Over the years, Ken Agyapong has tried to wiggle free of his entanglement in the dastardly murders but the plot keeps thickening.
As part of the efforts, he has alleged that one Ansu Gyeabour was the murderer of Suale, but the Kumasi-based Gyeabour has since come out to pooh-pooh the claim and made it clear to Agyapong he will not be a scapegoat.
Mr. Agyapong has also claimed that Suale was murdered by people hired by Suale’s boss, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. This has also failed to wash.
And in the J.B. Danquah case, selfsame has claimed that the late MP had been variously murdered through a conspiracy by his wife, and later the former MP for Madina, Amadu Sorogho. But they have failed to wash.
