Actress, Yvonne Nelson, is in the face of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia on Twitter, demanding that they #FixTheCountry now.
In a tweet, the actress announced herself a badge woman in the army of frustrated and disenchanted Ghanaians demanding that the Akufo-Addo government stop lying and provide the solutions that they have been promising the country.
“We will mount the pressure! They will start taking us seriously! The fake promises will stop! #FixTheCountry,” she tweeted, making sure to copy @NAkufoAddo and @MBawumia.
Yvonne Nelson’s tweet joins in with millions of disenchanted Ghanaians who have lost faith in the government.
She is the same woman who led the anti-dumsor campaigns against the erstwhile Mahama government which was almost crippled by the erratic electricity supply that dogged the administration till its latter parts when it was mostly solved.
Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration has been described as the most corrupt in the Fourth Republic with the highest number of corruption scandals ever recorded.
This administration has also superintended over the cedi’s continued fall against major trading currencies, especially the dollar, ballooning debt, environmental degradation through illegal mining by big men of the ruling party and a plague of taxes.
Also, the country has recently seen a return to the days dreaded perennial spells of power outages called ‘dumsor’ even though arrangements put in place by the previous Mahama administration has ensured that the country is generating more than enough electricity.
