Race for the Sawla Tuna Kalba DCE post

The Parliamentary candidate for the Sawla Tuna Kalba Constituency in the Savannah Region, Banasco Seidu Nuhu may become the next DCE for the area if intel we picked up from the grounds resonate with the leadership at the Jubilee House.

With the 2020 election petition over and the Ministerial vetting almost done, things are gradually taking shape for the Akuffo Addo-Bawumia administration and serious lobbying seems to be gathering steam and the NPP Government is busy selecting representatives at the Local Government level.

It wouldn’t take much to conclude that Banasco Seidu Nuhu stands tall among all the shortlisted names for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba area, giving the fact that his emergence into the political landscape in the Savannah Region in general and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba in particular.

Although he did not win the just ended parliamentary election for NPP, he was able to garner a lot of support and whipped up enthusiasm in the youth of the area from both the NPP and NDC.
It is worthy to note that this is the first time a candidate from the NPP has garnered over 10, 000 votes in the constituency, inspired a generation of young and vibrant party activists to vigorously campaign and vote for NPP, and should this continue, there would be no gainsaying that Banasco can cause an upset in the parliamentary election for STK in 2024.

Prior to becoming Parliamentary Candidate, Banasco was the Executive Director of Nasco Feeding Minds where he facilitated the establishment, furnishing, and equipping of eleven (11) ICT centers with a little over a thousand computers, accompanying gadgets and stationery for about 12,000 students in the district. He also established the Feeding Minds Academy with support from Global Football giants to train and recruit young football talents to play oversees, he periodically organized free health screenings with medical professionals from both home and abroad as well as the setting up of a beekeeping livelihood project for five (5) women groups that has since its inception trained and employed 240 women.


He worked as the production manager of the Bambu Centre, Chief Executive Officer of Global Success Minds (An ecommerce platform), and Golden African Star.
Currently, Banasco holds a Master of Arts Degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping and Training Centre, Accra, Post Graduate Certificate in Leading Change from the University of Cambridge, UK, Post Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Business Communication from Esade Business School, Barcelona, Spain and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Sociology and Swahili from the University of Ghana.
