REVEALED: NDC MPs Deliberately Fooled NPP MPs Into Rushing To Parliament At 4am

The embarrassing idea by MPs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to abandon sleep and rush to Parliament at 4 am was the result of a prank pulled on them by two National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs, it has been revealed.

Hon. Sam Dzata George, MP for Ningo Prampram and Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, were the pranksters who played on the gullibility of the NPP MPs and sent them on the fool’s errand.

The Ningo Prampram MP has already confessed to the prank, saying he and his colleague created the impression that NDC MPs were about to storm Parliament and sleep there in what jolted the NPP MPs into the decision to beat the NDC MPs to it.

And the man that they used to send the NPP on the wild goose chase was Hon. Atta Akyea, NPP MP for Akim Abuakwa South.
Explaining, Sam George wrote, “See this 8th Parliament is going to be bae. Trust me. Let me tell you a true story. Last night at about 8:30pm, myself and my Chief Whip, Hon. Muntaka had to go back to Parliament to take care of a few things. Just as we were about to go up the escalator, we ran in Hon Atta Akyea who enquired what we were doing in Parliament at that time.”

He continued: “We replied that we had arrived for sitting the next day! You needed to see the shock on his face as he walked away. He apparently notified his side and made them rush to Parliament at 4 am to sleep in the chamber. Well, we were in bed getting our beauty sleep at that time…”

NPP MPs have come under scorn after they were seen squatting in Parliament in a bid to occupy the majority side of the seating in Parliament.
However, as many have been pointing out, occupying any side of the seating in Parliament means nothing and that what is important is the voting majority available. And in that respect, both the NPP and the NDC have 137 seats apiece.
