Samira Bawumia’s Convoy Involved In Accident

A convoy of the wife of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Samira Bawumia, was reportedly involved in a road accident Monday evening.

One of the vehicles within the convoy, registration number GN 4096 -20, reportedly crashed into a Toyota Hilux at Ofoase Kokoben near Anwiankwanta in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Whatsup News gathered.

Three people are in critical condition, with seven others suffering various degrees of injuries due to the crash. The condition of the Second Lady is currently unclear, but eyewitnesses say the vehicle in which she was traveling had already bypassed the point of the crash when it happened.

The Toyota Hilux, with registration number AS 4247-17 and occupied by two Catholic priests, was said to be traveling from an event at Anwiankwanta and was joining the main road when it ran into Mrs. Bawumia’s convoy which was heading towards Kumasi.

Nine out of the ten victims have been put on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, while the last victim, a Roman Father is currently on admission at the Abenkyiman Hospital at Anwiankwanta.
