Govt To Spend 70 Million Euros On Eastern Region Hospital

Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye, has revealed plans are afoot for the construction of an Eastern Regional Hospital, and that the project will cost 70 million Euros to build.

According to him, the project will take off in December 2020.

He did not reveal where the money will come from and whether it has been budgeted by the Administration which has come under allegations of using the Bank of Ghana to secretly print money for the Government.

He made the revelation while speaking to suspicion that Government’s statistics about Covid-19 recoveries may be fake.

According to him, the sudden 100% recovery rate for patients is not strange because it wasn’t every patient who was positive that developed debilitating or deadly full-blown symptoms.

“While some developed symptoms, and were hospitalized, the majority of positive patients did not have full-blown symptoms. Some too had recovered and were waiting for results from a second round of testing but had been counted among the infected only for the results to come and prove negative,” he claimed.
