In an ironic twist, examination papers of teachers currently sitting for promotional examinations have reportedly leaked.
Accra-based Joy News says it has intercepted copies of some of the yet-to-be-unveiled question papers.
Questions for the examinations set by the Ghana Education Service (GES), as well as the answers, are said to have leaked hours to the examinations.
Incidentally, this is the first time the GES is conducting an exam as a prerequisite to promotion. Earlier, teachers only had to go through an interview session.
According to reports, all the 75 multiple choice questions and their answers for the Assistant Director II position was leaked.
According to some of the teachers, they were stunned at the speed at which some of their colleagues completed their papers, answering all 75 questions under 20 minutes.
Exams paper leakage is a phenomenon common within the Basic level examination and Senior High School Certificate exams organised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC). The new phenomenon of teachers adds to the basket of possible exam leakages.
