Ghanaian top-flight side Medeama have suffered a huge blow after the club’s medical chief asked convalescing head coach Samuel Boadu to take a break from the game, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The industrious tactician was scarily struck by illness during their league match against Aduana Stars in Tarkwa last month and had to be rushed to the hospital before half time.
He was later discharged and returned to post but his recovery has not been encouraging.
Boadu was not on the bench last Sunday when the Mauve and Yellows suffered an ignominious 2-1 defeat to Elmina Sharks at home.
It has emerged that the two-time FA Cup champions will miss hiss services for a long time.
In his absence, assistant coach Hamza Obeng will take charge or alternatively the club can sign an emergency coach.
Medeama have slipped to third on the league log after ten matches.
They will be in the capital Accra on Wednesday to face an improved Inter Allies side.
