I was paid with a bottle of malt after 3 days on set – Radio presenter shares sad experience

Ghana’s representative at the 2013 edition of ‘Next Movie Star reality show and radio presenter, Caleb Nii Boye has shared his experience with movie producers during his days as an actor.

Caleb has joined the likes of renowned actor Kofi Adjorlolo, Juliet Ibrahim and others, who have come public with the ordeal they have gone through at the hands of some movie producers in the country.

The host of Showbiz Live on Live91.9FM revealed that a movie producer gave him a bottle of Malta Guinness as payment for spending three days on set, and another gave him GHC5 as transportation fee from Kasoa to his destination.

“I was linked with one producer after I came back from the Next Movie Star reality show in Nigerian and he called me on set(Ajiringanor). After three days on set, he gave me a bottle of Malta Guinness and this was after he has bought two bottles for his friends and luckily for me, I had a biscuit in my pocket so I had to top it up with the malt.

“There was another case where one Stephen guy had called me for work around Kasoa and after the guy had made me sit down for several hours without shooting any movie, he gave me Ghc 5 for T&T,” he added

According to the radio Presenter, he stopped acting because of the unprofessionalism of the producers he had worked with.
