Mysterious Murder Of Three Sparks Fear And Panic In Ashaiman

The suspected ritual murder of three people in Ashaiman, a suburb of Tema has sparked fears as the murdered victims had their tongues and eyes removed.

The victims include two night watchmen and a homeless man who was gruesomely murdered in his sleep on the streets.

The three were killed on the same night of September 14th, 2019.

The lifeless bodies of the 70-yr old Ibrahim Bagada Sumaila, a night watchman was found covered with the clothes he wore on that fateful night in front of the Apsonic Motors Shop where he worked.

Another victim, Joshua Afuugu, a 35yr old homeless man is also believed to have been murdered in front of Sofaamy Glass Shop at Talaku, near the Ashaiman Roundabout.

The third body only identified as Kobina, 70 is also a night watchman. His mutilated remains was dumped at the Kasapreko Warehouse, just 50 metres from the first crime scene in the Ashaiman Municipality on Sunday dawn.

According to the Police, all victims were found with their clothes covering their heads “with blood oozing from his eyes, nostrils, ears and mouth.  The shops the watchmen manned were intact, which further confirms the killings were for ritual purposes.

News about the removal of organs from the deceased has sparked fear among residents.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is relying on footages of CCTV Cameras at the Kasapreko Warehouse where one of the watchmen was killed to facilitate ongoing investigations. All three have been conveyed to the Police Hospital.
