Actress, Lydia Forson, is advising the embattled New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to just give in and act on its obsession with former President John Mahama by sending him chocolates on Valentine’s Day.
“NPP treat Mahama like the ex they swear they’re over, hate and want nothing to do with but can’t stop talking about. At this point just send him some chocolate on Val’s day because you’re clearly obsessed ah,” the actress tweeted.
The tweet comes after the NPP, predictably started attacking the former president after he advised the failed NPP government which has borrowed the country into a mess, to consider holding an economic forum like the Senchi one which was organized by his administration in the past.
Among those who have attacked Mahama is Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, Akufo-Addo’s notorious cousin.
In response to Mahama’s suggestion, Gabby attacked the former president claiming even Akufo-Addo’s worst performance is better than Mahama’s best performance and that Ghana would have fared worse if Mahama was president during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Imagine for a moment – please – how Ghana would have coped under a John Mahama leadership facing a global pandemic? Just imagine that whenever you swear at Akufo-Addo and look at JM as the alternative. Also, compare Ghana’s performance to our neighbours,” Gabby stated hypothetically.
Interestingly, former President John Mahama’s administration faced the Ebola epidemic and handled it without much fuss.
But the Akufo Addo administration had already borrowed over Ghc3billion from the World Bank and the IMF, and most of it has reportedly been squandered.
