Sham Galamsey Fight Exposed By Delta Force Attack of Ayensu Opare In Kumasi

The thuggish attack of the Ashanti by thugs of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) called the “Delta Force” has revealed a deep conspiracy of the cover-up of illegal mining operations in the Region by the Akufo Addo administration.

The Ashanti Regional National Security Liaison Officer, DCOP Opare-Addo was on Monday, May 11, 2021, chased out of his office at gunpoint by Delta Force thugs armed with AK 47 assault weapons.

Narrating his ordeal on Joy News, DCOP (Rtd) Ayensu Opare Addo said when the thugs invaded his office, they pointed guns at him, handcuffed him and even followed him to the toilet because the Acting National Security Coordinator Major General Francis Adu Amanfo (Rtd) had ordered for him to be captured and brought to him.

According to a visibly shaken DCOP Opare, he was forcefully removed from office because he had stopped the Delta Force hooligans from operating illegal mines, “Galamsey”.

“I was working with them, they wanted to do Galamsey, they will go and collect money from people and people would be calling me, telling me they’ve come to collect this and that amount…One of them called Mustapha would be going to those who brought items from Nigeria and say that the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator says they should give him money…and I haven’t sent him anywhere,” DCOP Opare told Joy News.

However, the Acting National Security Coordinator will rebut the allegations made by his subordinate saying he was removed from office for non-performance and his “own criminal activities”.

Later, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah will claim DCOP Ayensu-Opare was removed because he has outlived his contract and was asked to leave, but he refused.

However, in all the explanations given by the Acting National Security Coordinator and the Ashanti Regional Minister, one sticky point stands out why official state agencies like the National Security would be using party thugs to be removing an officially appointed security coordinator in the Ashanti Region.

Indeed, Whatsup News has gathered that the seven thugs who invaded DCOP Ayesu-Opare’s office at gunpoint were arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command, but they were immediately released.

All of the above is coming at a time where the Overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu II had recently revealed that over 30% of government officials and chiefs in the Ashanti Region who recently met to dialogue on how to stop the destructive Galamsey menace were deeply involved in the illegal mining activities themselves.

Indeed, the Otumfuo exposed the hypocrisy of the Akufo Addo administration’s so-called Galamsey fight when he told the audience that the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and the Ashanti Regional Minister had attempted to gag him from stating the facts around those involved in Galamsey in the area. He said the two told him to stick to the prepared speech given him.

The Akufo Addo administration had recently rebooted its failed Galamsey fight after four years of failure caused by his appointees and party officials deeply getting involved in the illegal mining activities that has destroyed a massive swathe of forest reserves, cocoa farms and major river bodies in the country.

Indeed, the man President Akufo Addo appointed to chair an inter-ministerial committee against illegal mining, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng is reportedly part of the loot. He was recently caught on tape discussing how he has distributed seized Galamsey excavators and distributed them to party and government officials to undertake galamsey so that they could remit some funds into the coffers of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
