Ghana’s British National Security CAPO Goes Awol

Mr. Edward Kweku Asomani, the National Security Coordinator, exposed as having split loyalty to Britain and Ghana has gone AWOL from his office since Monday, WhatSup intelligence has gathered.

The shocking revelation on the seemingly naïve Coordinator has sent tongues wagging within the Intelligence establishment and triggered concerns about espionage threats and questions about Asomani’s allegiance, as he holds a high-security position in Ghana despite laws prohibiting foreign nationals from such roles.

The disclosure of Asomani’s dual nationality has raised alarming worries about potential double-agent activities, with fears that he may have conflicting loyalties between the UK and Ghana.

The situation is exacerbated by Asomani’s connections to President Akufo-Addo and his cousin, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, both British citizens, casting doubts on the integrity of Ghana’s national security operations.

Reports of inappropriate relationships and alleged misconduct with staff members have further mired the scandal, prompting calls for a thorough counter-espionage probe to uphold transparency and accountability in public office.

Despite mounting pressure for answers, Asomani has evaded inquiries from the media, heightening concerns about the security implications of his actions.

As Ghana faces the repercussions of a potential double agent within its security framework, urgent measures are required to investigate and reform vetting processes for public officials. Safeguarding national security hinges on swift and resolute actions to address this breach of trust at the highest echelons of power.
