Akufo-Addo’s Spiritual Father Admits Lying to Cover National Cathedral Fiasco

The spiritual father of President Akufo-Addo, Rev, Isaac Owusu Bempah, has revealed that as part of his love for his beloved spiritual son, he has lied to make the President look good.

The lies, according to the Founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, include some that he boldly told to deodorize the sunken image of the government in the matter of the controversial national cathedral.

According to Rev. Issac Owusu Bempah, he has been receiving insults and scorn as a result of the deception but has taken all insults in his stride.

“People just call and insult me over the Cathedral meanwhile I’m not part. A number can just call and insult me that I’m foolish but I know nothing about it. Sometimes, you call me about the Cathedral and I lie to defend them but I’m not part. I was defending them. If they invite me [to the presidency], I will honor it but I can’t go without their invite,” he said on Accra-based Okay FM.

It is not clear what exact lies Rev. Owusu Bempah told to make Akufo-Addo and his government look good, but the national cathedral project has turned out a hot mess on the hands of the government.

After deceiving the public that the Cathedral was a personal gratitude project that President Akufo-Addo was constructing for God and that no state money would be used for the project, it later turned out that the same government had been secreting state money into the project.

According to North Tongu MP, over US$ 100million has been secreted behind the back of everybody, including Parliament, into the project.
