-Makes Hopeson Adorye Wife Anti-Terrorism Ambassador
The Akufo Addo administration has virtually collapsed national security to a face-palm moment by appointing Gifty Osei, the wife of the rabble-rousing hitman of the administration, Hopeson Yaovi Adoryeh, as the face of anti-terrorism in Ghana.
While at it, the mafia-like activities of petroleum bunkering, nepotism, and suspected drug activities at the National Security secretariat are threatening to tear the state spy agency apart, according to inside information.
Gifty Osei, a gospel musician who has no experience in security issues is expected to be the face of anti-terrorism in Ghana, with the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign.
Incidentally, her husband, Hopeson Adorye, was recently alleged to have been used by President Akufo-Addo to terrorize President Akufo-Addo’s ex-girlfriend, Serwaa Broni. Hopeson Adorye is the Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of airports.
The campaign is the government’s reactionary effort to get alerts from citizens about suspicious persons they encounter in their communities in the wake of the supposed spectre of terror attacks on Ghana from terror groups in neighboring countries.
Accepting the role, Empress Gifty who recently released a gospel hit, “Eye Woa” said she believed it was the responsibility of every Ghanaian to be the eyes and ears of government against terrorism and that she will play that role happily.
The fact that she is the wife of a deputy National Security Coordinator only resonates with the Akufo-Addo government’s reputation as a self-serving nepotistic administration of family, friends, ex-girlfriends, wives and baby mamas.
Empress Gifty, by her appointment, therefore, joins a tall list of family members, wives, and concubines of regime actors who have been given appointments in the Akufo-Addo government.
